The Gnecco Palazzo is located in Rue de la Commission at the ending of the old Medina of Tunis

in the part of town where the europeans used to reside.

The Palazzo belonged to Paulo Antonio Gnecco a rich Italian merchant.
A plaque at the entrance commemorates the passage Giuseppe Garibaldi who fled there in 1836.
The Italian style is still felt despite the decaying state of the place.
It is hidden behind shops and sellers, some of them use it to store their goods
some windows and doors are condemned.

As a bonus the view of this palace from the windows of other neighboring buildings
