Located in Souk El Leffa just behind the Zitouna Mosque, The Medressa El Mouradia was built around 1673 by the Bey Mourad II on the ruins of a former janissaires barracks ( after they revolted and have been anhilated).

More recently, it was for a moment a training center for crafts.

 

Actually the madersa is in very bad condition, half collapsed and waiting for its restoration

(that does not seem to be for that soon).
